The upper surface features a puffy, inflated shell silhouette, giving the traditional form a contemporary twist through an asymmetric radial pattern that pulls toward the side from a top view. I utilized this dynamic flow to create a monolithic, modern, sculptural appearance where the sole and upper body seamlessly integrate. The result is a high-impact design that balances nature’s soft forms with a bold, 3D-printed structure.
The inspiration for this project began with the organic geometry of a seashell, viewing the shoe as a protective, natural layer for the foot. While the silhouette is rooted in the sea’s forms, the final design translates these lines into a voluminous inflated aesthetic. This approach transforms a natural motif into a bold fashion statement, balancing nature's softness with a strong, modern silhouette.
