Flo draws inspiration from the streamlined form of airplanes and aerodynamic nature. The front maintains a clean, minimal silhouette similar to an aircraft’s nose while the rear introduces sharper, aerodynamic lines reminiscent of wing and tail structures.
The design was sparked by the aerodynamic language of airplanes and how airflow shapes their form. Observing how aircraft maintain a clean nose while developing structural wings and tail elements toward the rear influenced the shoe’s evolving silhouette. This contrast between simplicity in the front and dynamic lines at the back guided the overall design direction of Flo.
The result is a form that visually captures the idea of motion and airflow within a simple slip-on mule.
